Miranda Wang
Wang tees it up in Tucson, Arizona, following her win at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa. The 2023 rookie made her first cut of the season during the Epson Tour’s third event, securing her first Epson Tour win. Wang says she feels confident heading into the rest of the season and is getting used to her new clubs – the same ones that led her to victory. Returning to Sewailo Golf Club after a T9 finish in 2022 could give Wang momentum to secure back-to-back wins.
Maddi Caldwell-Young
Maddi Caldwell-Young found her groove during the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa, finishing the first-and-second rounds as co-leader. The Georgia native finished the tournament in solo-third place, her best finish on the Epson Tour so far. However, Caldwell-Young is itching for a win and could use the momentum and fire from last week’s top finish to finally secure that at the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic.
Gigi Stoll
University of Arizona alumna Gigi Stoll returns to the course she used to call home – Sewailo Golf Club – this week for the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic. So far in 2023, Stoll made two cuts in two starts finishing T36 and T22. Being back in Arizona at a course she’s comfortable playing could give Stoll momentum to earn a win or top finish, propelling her toward potential LPGA Tour membership in 2024.
