In a disappointing finale, Jessica Korda announced on Tuesday that her season is over. Lingering back pain has led the six-time LPGA Tour winner to close shop early.
Korda was ranked 32nd in the Race to the CME Globe, well within the top 60 eligible to tee it up next week in Naples for the biggest prize in women’s golf. She had six top-10 finishes in 2022, with her best finish being a runner-up at the Chevron Championship where Korda shot a final-round 69 to finish two behind winner Jennifer Kupcho.
While 10 of her last 11 rounds have been in the 60s, Korda hasn’t played an LPGA Tour event since The Ascendant LPGA benefitting Volunteers of America the last week of September.
