PHOENIX, Monday, March 14, 2011– LPGA fans will be exposed to multiple opportunities where LPGA Founders and LPGA and World Golf Hall of Famers will make appearances at the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup the week of Monday, March 14-Sunday, March 20 at Wildfire Golf Club at JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort and Spa.

LPGA and World Golf Hall of Fame members Betsy King, Nancy Lopez and Patty Sheehan will play an exhibition 18 holes on Friday, March 18 at 7:15 a.m. on the tournament course. They will be the first group out before first-round play begins at 7:30 a.m.

In honor of the LPGA founding members, the tournament will provide opportunities throughout the week for fans to meet and get autographs at the Founders Corner Autograph Area Presented by PING, which will be located by 18 green. A schedule of players and autograph times will be provided at a later date.

On Tuesday, March 15 the tournament will host a qualifier at Wildfire Golf Club for two LPGA players to earn the final two spots in the tournament field.

A Junior Clinic will be held on Sunday, March 20 on the driving range from 2-3:30 p.m. for the junior golfers from the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf site of Phoenix and Tucson. LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals (T&CP) and LPGA players will host the clinic.

On both Saturday and Sunday, March 19-20 spectators can enjoy the “Front Row Experience”, which is a free 15 minute golf lesson with LPGA T&CP members on the driving range. Fans will be able to participate on a first-come first-serve basis.

Gates Open at 7 a.m. Second-round tee times off the first and 10th tees from 7:30-9:10a.m. and 12-1:40 p.m. Golf Channel telecast is from 3:30-6 p.m. local (6:30-9 p.m. EST). Front Row Experience on the main driving range from 2-5 p.m. As part of Scottsdale Healthcare Day, the public will have an opportunity to meet some of the area’s leading surgeons and ‘test drive’ the daVinci surgical robot used at Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital.
